Helping
Workplaces Become more Human*

* A human workplace is one that supports people to be at their best at work, whatever that means for them, for the benefit of every aspect of their lives and the achievement of the organisation's purpose.

What business problems could you solve with more connection and understanding in your workplace?

Staff engagement

Just 23% of our people are engaged and 67% are quiet quitters and 11% are actively engaged.

Engagement is not contentment. True engagement means your people are psychologically present to do their work - they understand what to do - they have what they need and they have a supportive manager and a supportive team. They know why their work matters. They are work ready.

ABOUT

LEANNEHOLDSWORTH1.jpeg

Leanne stands for a future where it is normal for work environments to be places where humans thrive, where they can go home in good shape and the organisations they work in have the best shot at achieving their purpose.

In April 2023, after three years of research into humanising workplaces, the book Human Work : Five Leadership Mindsets for Humanising the Workplace was published. Naryan Wong and Leanne and colleagues from Cultivating Leadership and beyond, interviewed leaders from around the globe, studied existing thought leaders and brought together emerging practice around humanising work into one place.

One of the things we learnt was there are five main leadership mindsets that contribute toward humanising workplaces (illustrated below). Every organisation decides which of these mindsets are most appropriate for their workplace.

About our approach

We consult to organisations to understand their unique workplace context, their vision for a human workplace and their current performance. Usually this is CEO/Executive sponsored work and we consult to them as well as a group of champions from across the business to support the cultural shift toward  a more human workplace. This can take the form of a single briefing for an Executive team, through to a 6 month consulting project.
